14 Days of Adventure
At the end of May and begging of June we had a couple of really fun weeks. We spent a week in Texas with my folks to celebrate my dad's 79th birthday. We went fishing, helped dad with some house projects, and hung out.
Tom and Dad at the pond.
Our loot, mostly, Tom had one more that he caught after dad and I headed up for dinner.
When we got home we started our week with a bang. We went for a family hike Sunday afternoon up Millcreek Canyon. I like this canyon because it is one of the only ones where dogs are aloowed in the area, and they have off-leash days on odd dates. That Sunday was an odd date so Miss Izz got to have a fun run. PS. she is so much better with other dogs when she is off leash, so I love me some off-leash days and places.
Even though Izzie hates water, she was all over the creek it was so hot.
Yay for goofs.
This is the album cover shot. Izzie is watching Tom and Lettie boulder (my ankle was still a little too weak to do that).
Lettie at the top of her boulder. Tom is up there too, you just can't see him from this angle.
We ended the week with the annual Scottish Festival and Highland Games down in Lehi. It was so fun. It was a bit rainy and cool and it made me feel like I was in Scotland. We got to watch some of the games, enjoy some music, see some dancing, and eat some awesome food.
Caber Toss
This guy made me laugh.
This might be poison, but it is SO tasty.
Catching some tunes in the tent to get out of the rain for a bit.
This was an excellent example of some great summer fun up here in the SLC area. Sometimes it is easy to get stuck in the grind and forget how awesome it can be up here.
