Easter Sunday
I finished off my Easter weekend with a family Easter celebration down at Uncle Glenn and Aunt Shirline's house. It is always nice to get together with family and spend some time doing the simple things. These simple things included a wonderful family dinner, an easter egg hunt, a little devotional about Christ, a board game, and some discussion.
Preparing for the easter egg hunt.
The egg hunt was great, the eggs were scattered all over the yard, there were a combination of real eggs, small plastic eggs (with a small amount of money), and a few large plastic eggs (with a slightly larger amount of money). One of the large plastic eggs was the "grand prize". Each person (or couple) had a basket and there were very specific rules, to make sure that no one person got too much of anything. Tom and I were lucky enough to be the grand prize winners and we were able to get enough with our little eggs too to make a nice little date night for ourselves on Monday.
This is my cousin Drew just chilling.
More egg hunting.
Cleaning up the dinner mess.
One thing that I have to say I love about this family is that they all chip in. Everyone takes a turn to help clean up after meals (even in other people's homes). I love this.
This is my uncle, don't you love that smile?
Rebecca and Troy.
This is my lovely aunt.
Tom and I were the last to leave and we got to spend some great time talking with them. We were able to share some stories, laughs, and advice. I love having these two so near by, they moved up here while I was in college and it was so nice to have their parent-like influence in my life. It is nice having that so nearby since my own parents live so far away.
Happy late Easter everyone.
